CE Approval Information

CE Approval - Applications and Processes

Georgia Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Approval of an educational activity by GNA ensures participants that the program meets professional standards for CNE.

To be approved by GNA, accreditation standards and criteria as set by ANCC must be met. The GNA application process and forms ensures the program's content meets these criteria, and GNA staff will assist the applicant in meeting these criteria.

 CE Activity Approval

Nursing education activities that follow continuing nursing accreditation criteria as set by the ANCC are considered for approval by GNA. The types of activities that are in this category may be a seminar, conference, on-line learning activity, self-paced courses, live and recorded instructor-led webinars.

Applications must be received a minimum of 30 days in advance of the start of the CE Activity.

The following documents assist in meeting the application requirements for having a CE Activity approved for CNE contact hours. Please review the instructions for an Individual Activity and Applicant Eligibility Verification before filing a new application. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the GNA office for assistance.
