CE Provider Approval

APPROVED PROVIDER INFORMATION

GNA is no longer accepting applications for Approved Provider status. If you are a current GNA Approved Provider, your approval will remain in place until your scheduled renewal date, and GNA will continue to support your Provider Unit in it's work.

To assist our current Approved Provider to transition to other Accrediting organizations when it is time to renew, we are providing an overview of information from other Nursing Associations for your consideration. The following states have agreed to work with our current GNA Approved Providers.

 

Alabama Approved Provider Information:

Application Submission Dates: Applications are accepted at any time.

Review/Approval Time Lines: Time frame for approval is approximately three weeks, unless additional information is required from the applicant.

Approval Period: Approved Provider Status is granted for three (3) years.

Fees: $1800.00 for three year approval period.

Additional information: 2013 Criteria are in effect, and all forms are available on the website

South Carolina Approved Provider Information

Application Submission Dates: February 13, 2013; May 22, 2013; August 21, 2013 and November 20, 2013

Review/Approval Time Lines: Currently 4 to 5 weeks from submission to time clients should be notified of committee's decision.

Approval Period: Approved Provider Status is granted for three (3) years.

Fees:

New Provider Applicants

$1500.00

Renewal Provider Applicants

$1200.00

Resubmission Fee if Provider application changes needed are not made in time specified

$50.00

Yearly Administration Fee

$100.00

Additional information: Applications submitted for February or May 2013 dates will be accepted on South Carolina's 2009 criteria and forms. Applications submitted for August or November 2013 dates will be required to submit on 2013 criteria and forms.

North Carolina Approved Provider Information

Application Submission Dates: Notification of intent to Apply/Reapply to be submitted 5 months before current approval period ends. Complete self-study/application to be submitted 3 months before current approval period ends.

Review/Approval Time Lines: Eight to ten weeks for review process.

Approval Period: Approved Provider Status is granted for three (3) years.

Tennessee Approved Provider Information

Application Submission Dates: Applications are accepted at any time.

Review/Approval Time Lines: Time frame for approval is approximately three to four weeks, unless additional information is required from the applicant.

Approval Period: Approved Provider Status is granted for three (3) years.

Fees: New Provider Applicants - $2000.00

Provider Renewal Applicants - $1500.00.

American Nurses Credentialing Center Information

Application Submission Dates: Applications are accepted 3 times annually, known as application cycles. First time applicants may be accredited for 2 years. Renewing applicants may be accredited for up to 4 years, unless a probationary period is needed to improve performance. Organizations must reapply at the end of each term.

Additional information: Determine your organization's readiness by confirming compliance with eligibility criteria and ability to adhere to ANCC accreditation responsibilities. Conduct an internal assessment, known as a Self-Study, outlined in the Application Manual: Accreditation Program. Before submitting an official application and fees, consider an optional Documentation Review to confirm adherence to ANCC recordkeeping criteria.
